About our Nursery 
Busy Bees Leicester Thurmaston is rated "Good" by Ofsted and has a capacity of 86 children. Opened in 2006, our large building features multiple childcare rooms, each tailored for different age groups, allowing your child to play, discover, and thrive alongside peers. Each room is decorated in soothing colors to foster a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable. Our nursery also has access to outdoor space, encouraging children to enjoy fresh air and learn about nature in our popular sensory garden. Conveniently located at Troon Way Business Centre, just five miles from Leicester city center on Humberstone Lane (down the road from Tesco Express), we offer free parking for staff. If you are using public transport, there are two bus stops less than a five-minute walk away—Claymill Road and The Roundway, serviced by the 21 and 832 bus routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and delivering educational activities for children.
  • Support the team in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Help children develop socially, emotionally, and physically through engaging play-based learning.
  • Ensure the welfare and safety of all children is maintained.

Ideal Candidate

  • No formal qualifications required, although prior experience in early years settings is beneficial.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Empathy and understanding – each child is unique.
